C. M. Culbert is a born and raised Texan. As a young girl, she could usually be found with her nose in a book. Culbert has a degree in Scottish History and English, as well as a master's in Museum and Heritage Studies from the University of St Andrews. The Sign of the Phoenix is her debut novel.
